Helping communities realize their potential

At Superwave, we believe that community matters. Communities can connect us, educate us, inspire us. We've made it our mission to bring more communities into the world.

But community is also hard. Community leaders receive little help in answering the difficult questions of community building: What is most valuable to my members? How should I structure my community to reflect that? If I create something of value, will my members find it? What will keep them coming back?

We think that it doesn't have to be quite so hard. In fact, we believe that building a community can be joyful.

Instead of asking community leaders to do more, we can ask them to do less, and to focus on the things that really matter.

Instead of giving a community leader an empty canvas to start from, we can help to draw in the lines by turning the best of community thinking into a product.

By acting as a partner to communities and their members, we can help them to reach their full potential.

What can this look like in practice? Here are a few of the ways that we partner with communities:

A personalized member experience: We make it easy for your members to create the experience they want, with features like following channels, and granular notifications that members can choose to receive immediately, daily, weekly, or not at all.

A powerful command bar: Superwave's command bar is your sidekick in navigating through and taking action in your community. You can quickly invite a new member, add exciting new content, set up a workshop, and lots more.

A unified control center: Mission Control is the single place to understand what's happening in your community, and to act on it. Your most important members, conversations and content are here, along with anything that you might have missed.

A better content experience: Superwave gives content its own space in your community, enabling automated import, better organization by topics, and improved discovery and shareability.

We are only at the beginning of a long journey, and we’re immensely grateful to all of the community people that have generously given their time to shaping what is now Superwave. We have a handful of communities using Superwave in beta, including the fantastic Rosieland by Rosie Sherry. If you’d like to learn more, or to join the beta, you can visit superwave.com

Finally, you might be asking yourself, “what’s a Superwave”?

A superwave is a very large wave of energy or water formed from many smaller waves, which we think is an excellent metaphor for a community.

See you on the next wave!
